Areas I Cover

Shoulder Specialist Based in London

I am Ms Susan Alexander, a London-based Consultant Shoulder Orthopaedic Surgeon. Although I practise in Central London, mainly in Marylebone, I regularly see patients who travel from across London, the Home Counties and the rest of the UK. I have many patients who travel from abroad to see me. For those living further afield, or who can not attend clinic for whatever reason, I can also offer consultations via Zoom, making it easier to access expert shoulder care wherever you are.

I consult and operate at leading Central London hospitals and clinics:

  • Fortius Clinic, Fitzhardinge Street, Marylebone
  • Fortius Surgical Centre, Bentinck Street, Marylebone
  • Fortius Clinic London, Wigmore Street, Marylebone
  • King Edward VII’s Hospital, Beaumont Street, Marylebone

My central locations make it easy for patients from anywhere, to receive expert care from a shoulder specialist.

Why Patients Travel to Me

  • Specialist shoulder expertise: As an orthopaedic shoulder specialist, I treat the full range of shoulder problems and am highly experienced in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery.
  • Trusted care in respected hospitals: I see and treat patients at Fortius Clinic, Fortius Surgical Centre and King Edward VII’s Hospital, all known for excellence in orthopaedic care.
  • Convenient access: My Central London locations are well connected by tube, rail and major roads, making them accessible from both London and the surrounding counties.

Home Counties I See Patients From

Many of my patients travel from the Home Counties for treatment. If you live nearby and are searching for a trusted shoulder specialist, you may find it helpful to know I regularly see patients from the following areas:

Surrey

Patients from Guildford, Woking and Epsom often come to my Marylebone clinics for shoulder assessment and treatment. Direct trains from these towns arrive at London Waterloo, where it’s a short Underground journey to Marylebone. Surrey is well connected by train and road, making the journey into London straightforward for those seeking specialist care not always available locally. Whether you are dealing with ongoing shoulder pain, a rotator cuff tear or frozen shoulder, I can provide the expert diagnosis and treatment you need. You don’t have to live with shoulder pain.

Hertfordshire

From St Albans, Watford and Harpenden, patients frequently travel into Central London to see me as their shoulder specialist. Fast trains from these areas arrive at London St Pancras International or London Euston, both just a short taxi or Underground ride to Marylebone. Patients appreciate the reassurance of being treated by a surgeon with extensive experience in shoulder conditions. I focus on helping you get back to everyday activities without discomfort.

Berkshire

Patients from towns such as Reading, Windsor and Maidenhead make the journey to my London clinics for advanced shoulder care. Direct trains from Berkshire arrive at London Paddington, which is only one Underground stop or a few minutes by taxi to Marylebone. I offer both non-operative and surgical treatment options, and many Berkshire patients choose to travel to me for the expertise and reassurance of seeing a consultant who focuses solely on the shoulders.

Buckinghamshire

Patients from High Wycombe, Amersham and Beaconsfield often travel to London Marylebone Station for expert diagnosis and treatment of shoulder problems. Marylebone is also easy to reach by road, making it straightforward to see me for specialist shoulder care. My goal is to reduce pain and restore shoulder function, helping you return to everyday life with confidence.

Kent

From Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone, patients regularly seek my help for shoulder pain and injuries. Trains from these areas arrive at London Charing Cross, London Bridge or London Victoria, each within easy reach of Marylebone by Underground or taxi. With London only a short train journey away, I see many Kent residents who want to be treated by a dedicated shoulder specialist offering advanced diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive follow-up care.

If you live in London, the Home Counties or even further afield, and need help with shoulder pain, please get in touch to book your appointment.
